Health Mirror Society Nepal Empower Healthy Communities Join our efforts to enhance public health outreach across Nepal

Health Mirror Group (HEMGRO) was founded in 1988 by medical students, professionals, and social activists. It is pioneer in publishing healthcare magazines (Health Mirror) in Nepal to create health awareness and educate individuals and communities. Subsequently, it continued to raise awareness about community health, organized a mobile health camp in communities and published Nepal’s first healthcare magazine. Nepali healthcare professionals and scientists scattered across the globe and have been reorganizing themselves with a new name called “Health Mirror Society Nepal (HEMIS Nepal) and joining self-consciously to revitalize the journey and serve the community at a broader scale as the main goal.

Vision

HEMIS Nepal envisions a world in which each economically and socially disadvantaged individual can access quality health care and related education to regain, and restore his or her health, which gives him/her a dignified life and can engage in suitable occupation and enjoy a social life.


Mission

HEMIS Nepal’s mission is to design health prevention, promotion, restoration, and implementation through medical and public health camps, by using experts and health-smart solutions in communities, healthcare facilities, schools. Its mission is to become locally available within formal and informal sectors of the country.


Goal

Amidst multiple challenges, HEMIS Nepal aims to provide health services, promote health education, advocate, and help for safe and sustainable drinking water. It also aims to provide a healthy environment to enhance the quality of life of people and bring progressive changes.


Objectives:

To improve access and utilize basic and advanced health services for those in need.

To create health awareness and educate individuals and communities about health, hygiene, sanitation, and the environment.

To strengthen the capacity of the communities for normal and abnormal (Disaster) situations.

To lobby about the health requirement of the communities.

To engage within the holistic health that includes one-health approach.
